If this is your first time seeing a podiatrist, don’t feel anxious – we love meeting new patients and introducing them to treatment options for foot and ankle pain. Many people feel self-conscious about foot conditions, but this is our specialty and helping patients regain comfort is our passion.

1. Before your appointment, please download and fill out your new patient paperwork so that we have your health history prior to your visit.
2. At your first appointment, Dr. Tanwir will ask detailed questions about your health history, and will carefully evaluate your foot and ankle to evaluate your bones, ligaments, tendons and other connected structures. Because your feet and ankles can see direct effects of other health concerns, she will also ask about your lifestyle, exercise regimen and regular habits.
3. Dr. Tanwir will also give you the opportunity to ask any questions you have about your condition and potential treatment methods. This is your chance to get personalized, in-depth answers to your own needs. We prioritize care specialized to every patient and will craft a treatment plan for immediate and long-term improvements.
4. We offer a wide range of treatment options, ranging from traditional options like orthotics and topicals to emerging technologies like shockwave therapy and PRP or steroid injections.
5. If your diagnosis is clear, Dr. Tanwir will develop a detailed treatment plan to provide relief from your foot or ankle discomfort. If the diagnosis is not clear, she may order additional tests including x-rays, an MRI or CT scan.
6. Dr. Tanwir will schedule follow-up appointments as needed to evaluate the effectiveness of any medications, home therapy, custom orthotics, lifestyle changes and other components of your treatment plan.
7. We accept a wide range of insurance plans and will bill your insurance company on your behalf, and collect your copay at the time of your visit.
